Retail Sales Associate
Love interacting with customers? Passionate about scents, skin-care and small businesses? Consider applying for a retail associate position. We’re looking for outgoing and friendly types who also believe in kindness and compassion. Previous retail experience is not necessary.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Assisting customers with selecting products suited for their needs
- Opening and closing the store
- Receiving and checking incoming shipments
- Daily cleaning and organizing of the store
- Cycle counts for inventory
Skills
- Able to stand at register for several hours
- Light lifting (up to 40 pounds)
- Comfortable with basic Apple software programs; experience with Shopify POS a plus
- Handling of cash; counting change as needed
Hours vary, but weekend and some evening shifts are required.
Full-Time Assistant Manager/Sales Associate
The Assistant Manager/Sales Associate plays a vital role in the daily operations of our storefront, providing exceptional customer service while overseeing staff and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires a proactive leader who can support the team and ensure a smooth and efficient retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily store operations to ensure excellent customer experiences.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring sales associates.
- Create and manage employee schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
- Maintain accurate daily inventory records, including conducting inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and manage daily sales transactions.
- Provide outstanding customer service, offering product recommendations and assistance.
- Monitor the cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and back-of-house areas.
- Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance product presentation.
- Address and resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to meet sales targets and improve store performance.
- Complete daily opening and closing duties, including securing the store.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or customer service, with leadership experience highly valued.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 40pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
